Wife Debbie and I saw Sherlock Holmes last week. First movie in probably 9 months. It was good. Sherlock says something about not being interested in a theory, but in facts. Having a theory, he reasoned, caused one to only pursue facts that fit that theory or to color the facts to fit. Good advice.
Saw the NCAA national championship football game last night. U of Texas QB Colt McCoy, one of the best QBs in Texas history, prepared his whole football career for this moment. He was injured on the game's 5th play with his team leading 3-0. Without their star and leader, the Longhorns fell to Alabama. After the game, McCoy fought back tears, saying: I'd given anything to be out there with my team. I don't know these things happen, but I do know that I will still give God all the glory. I'm still standing on the rock. Could be that his faith in face of such a devastating setback will resonate louder than winning the championship.
